In 2013, the Foundation continued to expand its support for NPOs by offering expert analysis and assistance, without charge, on issues such as board management and organization, data base management and computer systems, donor acquisition and retention, fund management and financial controls, and other similar advice and assistance. Beginning in 2014, the Foundation added personnel in order to increase the availability of such advice and assistance. Such activities are in addition to actual service from time to time by the Foundation’s Trustees on boards or advisory committees on particular NPOs.
Foundation staff can provide pro bono assistance to NPOs in the selection and design of software systems that enable the efficient management of their operations – including staff, donors, clients, visitors, facilities, grant reports, financial management and other activities. The expertise required for best selections is often beyond the knowledge base within NPOs.
Foundation Trustees and advisers have extensive experience in development of non-profit boards and can offer active participation to assist NPOs in strategic initiatives drawing upon the experience and contacts of the Trustees.
Foundation Trustees and advisers can offer experience and a network of experts who can be enlisted to provide analysis, recommendations and direct participation to structure an organization or a project for successful implementation.
Foundation Trustees and advisers can offer experience in strategic planning for donor acquisition and fund raising initiatives. Foundation staff is available to assist with technology to track and manage donor retention.
